Does anyone know what kind of snake is pictured next to the General Snake Forum greeting? It's the white one with slight brownish markings.

Thanks

By right clicking on the pic, you get properties, which says that the snake is a white sided ratsnake. So, evidently it is some albino morph of the ratsnake group.

and I didn't realize that clicking on properties would tell me what kind of snake it is. I appreciate the help.... even though I'm red in the face.

White-sided is a mutation that causes the sides of the snake to be white but the top have normal coloration. You also can have albino white-sided, where the top is albino but the sides are pure white. It's pretty cool looking.

Peter: It's OK, I'll handle it. I read a book about something like this.
Brian: Are you sure it was a book? Are you sure it wasn't NOTHING?
