i just found 2 more 'aliens' in my mealworm bin yay! now i have 9 aliens & 1 beetle (one of the aliens is ready 2 beetle-ize). the thing is, the beetle that i have isn't really interested in the carrot that's in there... and i changed it. it took a little bit, but doesn't really care for it. i don't want it to start eating the aliens in the bin... and when they all turn into beetles, i dont want them to eat each other! is there anything else that would work as a water source? other than fish?

yah i heard they eat fish for water & meat... and sometimes if they don't get it, they'll go ahead and just pick at each other

I hadn't heard that about fish. That's interesting. It makes sense in a way I can't fully explain (because I'm tired at the moment) but it relates to their being scavengers.

Your welcome, I alternate between potatoes and carrots for both crickets and mealworms. I also use others, but these both work great for me. When you put potatoes in and and come back in a half hour, you can't even see the potato for all the beetles covering them.
