If your snake has mites, is it really wise to be hauling it around taking photos etc etc etc with it? If was you, which I'm not, I'd be treating your snake for mites, and worrying about sharing pictures with us later.
Just a thought, not a flame.

You spray the cage with Proventamite and you're done. How is taking pictures of the snakes going to hurt them?

JMHO, FWIW, YMMV.

I don't see any signs of mites around the eyes.......and Proventamite doesn't work all that well people.......I got proof.........I had better results from using huge water bowl, actually 4 gallon buckets).... and letting them soak on their own..........
....................clean well.....bleac a little in the water for cage..rinse well........soak snake.......
have fun.........

When I've had mites in the past I just spray the bottom of the cage with Proventamite, let dry, then put in the substrate and snake. I usually only have to treat once to get rid of them.

Yes, she does have a case of mites. It's not bad but they are there.
I posted a thread about mites on this site last night looking for some advise.
I tried soaking her in water with iodine a few days ago, stripped and cleaned her cage and put her back in, but she still has mites.
I'm trying to get rid of them without much luck. But I couldn't resist taking some good pictures of her too.
Happy Thanksgiving

Just rinsing the snake is going to do nothing. There are probably hundreds of mite eggs in the cage. What you need to do is invest in a bottle of Provent-a-Mite. Order it online. It is the most effective way to get rid of mites. Remove the BP and water, spray the enclosure (NOT the snake), in the meantime soak your BP in water and rub him from head to tail to remove most mites on him. The ones under his scales you can remove gently using a Q-tip. After the enclosure is completely aired out, replace the BP and water. This is what you need to do if you are serious about resolving your mite problem.
I have had great success usung Provent A Mite. Try it you'll like it!
