Blonde Burms and a little ramble...

ZPD Nov 27, 2003 04:18 AM

I have toyed with the idea of owning a Burm for about 2 years. I read this forum quite a bit in order to live vicariously through you guys. Lately i've been considering it again. I thought if i do end up going through with it i would want a really fantastic looking one. One of my favs are the Blonde phase. I wrote Bob Clark an e-mail asking if he had any and how much they might be, so we'll se what happens. I wonder though why don't i see many pics of them here?
You know when i first really got hooked on snakes about 5 yrs ago a big part of the excitement was the idea of having a large snake in the future. I have stuck to boas mostly. In the past i bought some colubrids and then lost intererest. I go back and forth on what i want to own. There are soo many small, less expensive, beautiful little snakes out there that i am just now beginning to appreciate. At the same time im sitting here considering owning a burm. I sure to love this hobby though, theres always something new to learn and another animal i am discovering and studying up on. I don't have a ton of room, but i sure am willing to share alot of my living space with these snakes, it's funny. I don't know where i am going with this but when your up late thats when the little wheels starts spinning.... Heres a picture to compensate for your time......

Yeah, I think most of us share your "pain". LOL! There are just so many snakes out there to learn from and appreciate.
I really like those babies you posted. Are they a cross? Regardless if they are or not........They are amazing looking.

I will have to wait till I get a larger house before I can get the two burms I want. Since we have children, I am really big on the two lines of security. One being a professional locking cage. Two being a locked room that only I have the key to.

I really love the blondes as well. I don't think we see much of them due to the fact that they are still pretty rare.

Yeah, what the topic says..

This is my first time even hearing of them, but I don't pay too much attention to burmese at this point. (They're just impossible for me to keep at the full size.)

And Illinois has really half assed laws regarding large snakes.

Those are pure Sonoran Gopher snakes (albinos). Thanks for your reply! You know it seems like the Blonde burms have been around just as long as some other rare morphs, maybe not though, hmm. Well i know i want one!!
