Visiting area from WI, what are chances of seeing Easterns or Pygmys in area parks? Have small window of time over x-mas and we get very few chances to photo Timbers up here

Maybe if you go out into some polmeto fields away from civilization or swamp areas around there but in parks and stuff chances are slim to none. Although a little over 3 years ago I caught a 38" Eastern coarl in my neighbors yard in Delray which is not too far from West palm so maybe you might find something. I'd stick to back wood areas and some swaps. If you can make it near Okeechobee you are bound to run across some Pigmys and maybe an EDB. Anyways look at some maps and check the FL forum on here I'm sure they can help you. I havent been to FL for almost 3 years so I dont know how much it has changed, probably for the worse but hopefully for the best so anyways best of luck on your trip I hope you find some cool stuff. Oh yeah I know some people that hunt hogs near west palm and one of his dogs got bit by an EDB and died. When we looked at the fang marks they were spred about 2 1/2" apart which means there are some big ones out there hopefully you will run across one or two. Best of luck again.

Thanks. I am looking at Loxahatche as it is close to area. Caloosa and Seacrest Scrub look like possibilities as well.

Loxahatche is a pretty good place to find some stuff I havent been or even heard of the other two.
