experts on Brumation?..i need so help please

boba fett Nov 28, 2003 02:32 AM

My dragon is just over 2 years old...I dont think he has ever 'really' brumated before. the thing he does do though is stay in his 'hide' box, most of the day but never goes to sleep during the day. I have his lights set 12/12hrs temps are normal....his wieght is 475 grams/19 inches.
is this normal?
My main question is How often/much should I feed him?..and will there be a problem with digestion since he is in the 'cool' side of the tank most the day

P.S. he is still very active when I take him out to explore

thanks for the time
brad

I would just give him a bowl of fresh greens (and pellets) every morning, and that's it. That way he can get up and have a snack whenever he wants to, and I'm sure he'll be smart enough to bask a while afterwards My dragon is also brumating at the moment, and she sometimes gets up and eats a bit, basks for an hour or so, and goes into hiding again...
