you had them, how many are there?, Try blending some mustard greens with some calcium and put that with them. How hot is the hot side of the cage? Basically we need more info. Scott as far as water dropper every day soak them in some shallow water.

If you do that, you might want to only do a couple at a time. I put all 17 in a bath and had a "poop fest". Couldn't get them out fast enough!

Eyedropper can be used several times a day.
These are new hatchlings, don't worry too much about them not eating yet. Unless there is something seriously wrong, they'll come around.

about 2 to 3 days ago, the hot spot is about 100C, how should i house 20 plus hatchling? how big should be the cage be? and how many in each cage? should i offer them pin head crickets? how often, hope to hear from you...

Break them up into similar sized groups with as few per cage as possible. They will come around but the less stress etc will help things. With 20 in one cage there will be dominates that will make the others uncomfotable, I understand most can not buy 10 cages just for babies but the fewer togather the easier it will be to get them to come around. Things sound ok just give them some hide boxes and put them away from poeple traffic and you will be ok. scott

Sterlite containers can be easily converted to house baby dragons for their first couple months. Just set two or three in a row under a long UVB tube for light and attached hooded clamp lights on the edge of the sterlite containers for basking spots (assuming nothing in your household can get into the sterlite containers, such as young kids or other animals.) If you have other pets that could harm your dragons, cut out large holes in the lids of the sterlite containers and use 1/4" wire mesh to cover them. Then you can place your basking lights ontop of the mesh. Just make sure the covered holes are big enough that the edges of the hooded lights don't touch the plastic..don't want to melt it. (not sure if it will get hot enough to do this by why risk it?) Alternatively you can make wooden frames to fit over the top of the sterlite containers (either individual frames or one big enough to cover 2-3 containers at once).

Just use plain paper towel for substrate as well, and house between 2-5 per sterlite container..depending on the size you get. Will have to thin them out as they get older and isolate the more aggressive (domineering) dragons and put them alone so your more timid dragons can thrive.

As far as housing, I answered your post below..

Too much crowding can cause tail and toe nips, either accidental or on purpose. An inexpensive way to separate them is to get "Rubbermaid" (or any brand) bins. You can get them at Walmart.

I think the ones I used were 35 gallon and were plenty large enough.

You can go to Home Depot/Lowes to get extra Clamp Basking Light Domes
