Crickets vs Silkworms?

lola44 Nov 28, 2003 08:26 AM

I've just gotten my first beardie and have had him for approx. a week and a half. He's around 8 wks old and 6.5". I've been feeding him Crickets plus his greens with pellets on top. Not that he really is eating the greens but i hand feed him a few pellets last night for the first time. Do most people here use crickets or silkworms? Just curious. He's a really good eater (of crickets) Thanks for any info.

I use silkworms. They are cleaner, live longer, easier to care for, and from what I hear, a lot more healthy for your lizard than crickets. The drawback being they are more expensive, but I think it's worth it.
