That is a shame.
Speaking of schools, somebody told me that when they went to college (about 10 years ago), they could get free mice and rats for their snake from the animal science dept. Does anybody know if schools still do that? I would guess that things have changed, with all the animal rights groups nowdays, but I could be wrong. Do you think it's even worth my time to look into it?
Also, Tigergenesis, you said that you might get a Rainbow Boa, what's the deal with them? From what I've seen, they're beautiful and smaller than Boa constrictors. Why aren't they more popular, then? Are they difficult to obtain or difficult to care for or something?
They're very humidity sensitive, and a bit more pricey than your average Boa constrictor. That, and the name probably doesn't sit well with the more macho male herpers...
I've got one myself and she's a sweetheart. They max out at 5 feet.

Peter: It's OK, I'll handle it. I read a book about something like this.
Brian: Are you sure it was a book? Are you sure it wasn't NOTHING?
They are beautiful. It's because of their humidity sensitive nature that I plan on saving that species as my last purchase.
