Snapper Habitat

Shido Nov 28, 2003 02:26 PM

Hey everybody. I have a hatchling common snapping turtle living in a 150 gallon tank with some fish, snails, shrimp, crickets etc. I also have a hatchling musk and softshell turtle sharing the tank. I am interested in redesigning my tank. It is a swamp setup with plants and a waterfall, other stuff. could someone post pics of their setup(s) so i can get some new ideas for my animals.

-Thanks-

Well, I would strongly advise you to get a own aquarium for the snapper, otherwise he will make this one his own and there will no be more of a swamp...... First he will eat the crayfish, snails and the fish and as he gets larger softshell and musk will be good food.........

The crayfish, snails, fish etc are supposed to be food for the snapper and the other turtles are in there for a short time. They will be moved when the snapper gets bigger I know snappers are voracious eaters, I have a 16" female.
