What are the dimensions? That might help someone to give you an educated answer.

i would go with 43qt. that should handle the big females and give them some room to stretch out. Look for rubbermaid clever lock.

The nominal dimensions for a 28 quart (7 gallon) container are 23” x 17” x 6” (actually, the FLOOR dimensions are less). The one pictured below is 24” x 14” x 6”. Makes a nice-sized hide box, though! And please don’t tell me she's obese; she is gravid in this photo.

Many people breed balls in 28qt and they are ok for some adult females. The bigger girls should probably be in something larger like the CB-70 Iris box that Freedom Breeder uses.

as you can tell, large gravid females will not fit in a 28gt tub. I would suggest a 66 for abnormally large gravid females for ease of movement.

I have had many eggs laid in 28qt boxes. I think that the bigger Freedom Breeder Box is better if the female is abnormally large. The 28qt is also an excellent box to house males in.

what i'm talking about is a 1500g female not a full adult size

Tinley was a blast, that's one of my favorite shows....A 1500gram female will be fine in a 28qt box. After 2000, I would move her up to the CB-70 Iris.

Generally I use the one you are describing for sub-adults in the 1000 - 2000 range. For my larger adults I use one that is 33X16X6.

Sometimes bigger is not better. If you place too small female in too big a dub she becomes overwhelmed and insecure. That can lead to her not eating. A hide box can help that situation greatly, but I personally never use them. I instead always match the tub size up with the snake size. I currently an using 5 different tub sizes.
