how do you separate mealworms from their shedded skin ?

help
i feed my geckos mealworms but there is always mealworm shedded skin in with them and i can't think of a way to separate the 2

Pick the mealworms that don't have shedded skin attached for feeding.

Since the shedded skin is lighter that the worms themselves, I take a vacuum cleaner to it. Hold it a few inches above the comtainer and it will pick up the skin and not the substrate. Works for us. Also if you are in a hurry, you can blow the shedded skin off to the side and then take of it later.

You can take it outside and let the wind blow the shed skin out of the container.
