Is Egg denting on the 2nd day?
Both sides dented in at top. The vermiculite is damp and there is water in the water chamber in incubator.
Temp 86
Water in incubator.
Had covered 2/3
Thanks,

It will probably start growing mold in the next couple days and it will go bad. Chances are, it was probably not fertile to begin with and it wasnt your fault. Are both eggs of the clutch going bad or just one?
Joe
The egg will most likely fail, but that’s no reason to give up on it just yet. Try putting a damp paper towel over the egg and see how it does in the next few days. I’ve had a few eggs like you described this year, the extra moisture in the paper towel can really help plump the egg up again. If it starts to mold, or continues to dent, then you should toss it out. Best of luck, and keep us posted!

The eggs plumped back up and seem fine.
Thanks,
Mike
