finished the iggy cage yesterday!!!

mike d Nov 29, 2003 07:23 AM

it took all day but my dad and i finshed the cage yesterday(already had the wood sealed with a clear coat). it is 8feet long 4feet wide and 6.5 feet tall. it has a basking shelf with a ramp going up so he can get to it and indoor out door carpet on the bottom and on the ramp and shelf. during the summer im going to replace the ramp and shelf with logs(to cold to get them now and i cant let them sit in the sun after i soak them in that blech solution). now it just looks empty because i havent gone to pick up my adopted igg yet(goin today wish me luck) i will have a ton of pics early next week when we get our new computer and digi cam!

Have a great day

Yes, that's a bit too hot. Around 95F is recommended. You could get a different bulb (what kind are you using now?), or it might be easier just to move the heat source farther away from the basking spot.
