peterfranklin Nov 29, 2003 11:27 AM

The vet prescribed Primor 120mg tablets saying he doesn't like to inject.
Has anyone heard of or used these pills????
I have a few friends who have been in the business for a few decades and they have never heard of it.
I wish I waited to see my regular vet on Monday.
Thanks for any replies

Did you vet do a culture swap? The med is usually amakacin, fortaz, or baytril? All are injectables. Hope this helps

He was not my regular vet, but my vet’s office referred me to him because my vet won’t be in till Monday.
He probed her after I told him she was female, listened to her heart, checked her muscle tone, and looked in her mouth.
Although, on a side note, he wants to give me an adult boa that someone abandoned at his office.

I would not be terribly concerned that it lists another animal for treatment. Although, I'm glad to see you have the forethought to do some research. I go to my local Farm store for some of my meds. They always ask how my horse is doing
