a couple blck spots in the pattern, does not make a granite.
the true granites i have seen, and that i own, all have the following.
Black spots in all pattern, mor then just flecks, but blotches as well, top of the eye is a light color, the under belly is is white.
The bottom of pattern is more of an oarngish tint to it then the yellow of a normal.
The top of the head has a light pattern to it.
And the black on the body, has a velvety look to it, when in the sun.
Im breeding this guy to several girls right now.
This is an older pic, im gonna try and get a couple good ones today.

taken today. Im no photo pro.
but it does show, some traits i was talking about.
top of eye, a bit of oarnge under eye.
this is not a drastic morph, but it COULD lead to a stunning new morph when produced as a super.
If the yellow belly can produce an ivory, this should make something cool.
On the other hand, snake keepers coffee ball(which looks way cool) didnt produce anything yet. ya never know

You forgot the most important part: SCALATION!

The velvety texture is partly due to the beady scalation of the granite. NERD and Ralph Davis both liken it to the texture of an Angolan Python. I've only held an Angolan once, so I can't say for sure if such an analogy is entirely accurate. I only know that my granites feel ENTIRELY different than my other bp's.

I have a snake with a very interesting granite pattern, but instead of the other description, this one is very dark. His coloration makes it look like he is in shed all the time, and the hightlights are amazing. Here's a headshot, where you can see how dark his head striping is...

He's bred with a couple females this year, so it'll be interesting to see if anything at all comes out of it. I'm not expecting so, but he's a beautiful snake either way! Also, I can try to get a good body shot. I'm using an old digital camera and it doesn't take the greatest of pictures.
