with Mike Weitzman and from the information I gathered, there are three main traits associated with Jungle Boas. One of course is the abberant patterning although not all Jungle Boas have extreme aberrant patterns. These can be anything from fatter "cookie cutter" shape saddles to the extreme striping or linking formed by connecting saddles. Two, I believe is elongated tail saddles or striping on the tail (both of Linda's males have this) with high contrast between the background body color and the tail saddle. You should be able to see how crisp the difference is between the body and the tail saddles. And I believe the third characteristic of a Jungle Boa is a more yellowish overall body color.
Please correct me if I am wrong about any of these Mike or anyone else.
I also picked up one of the babies from Mike and Jeremy's breeding but he's still at Jeremy's. As soon as I get him, I'll take some pictures to try to capture these characteristics. Mike showed me some photos of the litter and you can really, REALLY tell which babies are the Jungles and which babies are the normals when you look at them compared to each other. I can't wait to take some photos of my Jungle next to a normal. I think it may be difficult to tell the difference between a Jungle and normal when all you see is the Jungle by itself. Comparison shots are always great...so we'll see...
