Passed massive amount of dk brown fluid.......

shelby514 Nov 29, 2003 09:00 PM

Alright, something I meant to ask last week, once again a "is it normal" question. He had eaten about a week before and hadn't passed anything...I had read on here somewhere that if a snake gets blocked up to gently massage it right above its duct. A friend was holding it on my bed and I not-too-seriously rubbed it...yea well I think I unblocked a river. About two seconds later he let loose a yellow thick liquid (all over the boy's dress pants, so much for being on time for a dressy dinner with his parents!!), followed by a few normal looking turds (which I caught in cupped hands underneath him), and then a ton of dk brown fluid with a smell hideous enough to kill you (And I'm not the kind of person to say that lightly...work with horses and cows!!). It was enough to overflow my hands. Yep, oops that soaked the sheets. Amusing as long as its normal. I'm a reasonably new owner and wasn't sure since I've never seen that before. But he seems healthy and has eaten since. Is this typical at all? Thank you!!! Oh, and if anyone uses that method to unblock....all I have to say is be prepared... or at least don't try it over the bed

Perfectly normal. I had the unpleasant misfortune of trying to get one of my adult females untangled from underneath the couch, giving her a nice massage in the process. Ended up with a huge STINKY mess all over the underside of the couch, and on the carpet. YUCK!
