Hot spot ideally 35C
Cool end of enclosure about 20C
UVB not essential, but can't hurt.

which means they rarely get temps over 85 degrees. They seem to prefer cooler temperatures than even the jungle carpets. I would suggest a range between mid 70's cool end to mid 80's high end temps. I have started using UV lighting but as mentioned I have not heard it is essential but it can't hurt. All mine have readily changed over to rats from mice. They are all easy to handle and even the one that I've had since a baby was never nippy like the Jungle carpets and Coastal babies can be. If it weren't for the price tag these are ideal animals for most keepers. Good luck if you get one. Frank Kincade.
