When i put my hand infront of him he licks it and investiges like he should(i think). But when he is on my hand i try to pick him up and he kind of freaks out and tries to jump out. can anyone give me any advice?

Hi

When you take him out to hold him, and you have him in your hands, cup one hand over the other with him in it and leaving an opening between your first finger and your thumb, thus creating a cave like atmosphere for him and a more secure feeling and keep it that way for awhile, while he is getting used to being in your hands. He may even curel up in there and take a rest. Make sure your hands are warm though.

Then when he gets used to that you can open up your hands and let him crawl from one hand to the other & be prepared to move fast. When he starts to crawl of the end of one hand you can put your free hand up in front of him to make him stop and say the word easy (his name) and then put your hand down and let him crawl again. Keep repeating this process until he understands to stop at the end of your hand when there is no where else to go.

Take Care, TLB

p.s. I'm sitting here typing this with a gecko sitting on my shoulder now.
