I really want to get a pair of Dickersons. Those things are just absolutely gorgeous.

have not heard a PEEP from you girl, hows she doing now? My goodness,
(as I sit here shaking head, and rolling eyes) where have ya been, LOL Eve

Impacted. I moved her out & am syringe feeding her water. I think I heard you say something about mineral oil a while back & I'm gonna try that too. She's still fairly active so I guess it's not too bad. She'll still eat a cricket or 2. I think she should pull through this. On the other hand, Squig looks like he's gonna pop he's so fat. I suppose I'll probably stop feeding him at the end of this week. I just hate to do that when he's eating so well. = / Kristin

I just went to check on her & she managed to pass something which makes me happy. I think things will be ok.

eve Dec 01, 2003 11:01 PM

She will do okay ! As far as Squig, yeah, I know what you mean.
But he should do well if hes nice and plump, LOL Eve

kristinL568 Dec 02, 2003 06:28 AM

Squig kinda reminds me of Boink. He's definitely ready for brumation. If only I were. = )

eve Dec 02, 2003 05:38 PM

I have a couple I'm not sure about, then I have some that just want to eat, and I hate just stopping it all.

But then I have 2 or 3 that have been sleeping, weird. I have to get with it by next week, and just turn out the lights, Later, Eve

I decided today that Squig gets no more food. I figured that if I don't just set a date, it'll never happen. So no more crickets for him. Oh & if you have any tips about what to do with Siona it'd be greatly appreciated.

How can you tell the difference between a c. collaris blue-phase and a dickersonae?
Really gorgeous male!

Brockn Nov 30, 2003 06:15 PM

may be most easily distinguished from all color phases/patterns of C. collaris by the presence of:

1) black pigmentation ventrally in the throat region
2) dark brown or black patches in the groin area anterior to each hind limb
3) a laterally compressed tail

There are some additional, less conspicuous physical characteristics which further identify C. dickersonae males from C. collaris...but I'll spare you the details for now! LOL
