How large do adults get in weight and length? And Also how can some one give me an idea for substrate and temps? thanks for all your help guys!!

Wt's get any where between 4-6 ft on average. Substrates you can use are either cypress mulch or dirt. Temps should be 130F or higher on the basking spot and 70-80F ambient.

The varanus albigularis is a large species that can reach lengths of 5-7 ft and weigh between 15-38+lbs. They have possibly the most potent tail whip of any species (be for-warned they do it for communication sometimes, like hello, goodbye, how are you etc). They bite like a vice that crushes flesh and doesnt let go until they are ready to. They are very very strong at any size, and have unique personalities. They can be fed mice, crickets, roaches, chicken and quail peeps, rats, rabbits (when appropriatly sized) (whole animal foods are the best for them).
They are like a varanid badger (that is built to dig) and love to be underground to sleep etc. Use dirt deep enough to burrow, hold moisture, hide, eventually lay eggs(if you get a female they will lay eggs unless they get fixed or they are not given the proper care to be able to), etc.
This absolute sweetheart pictured here is Sobek she is a blackthroat/whitethroat cross from Rob Faust an F2 generation(inbred) (BT/WT/WT cross). As you can see her weak inbred genetics kept her so small, hahaha...
She will be 2 years old on Dec 1st, shes over 6ft and 25.5lbs empty stomach.
