Ahaetulla prasina

I can't find a lot of information on these, I'd really appriciate it if someone would help me.

1. This is one of them, right? I've seen some with the checkered pattern, and some without. http://gallery.pethobbyist.com/data/4274BlueDec'01.jpg

2. I've also seen them called a lot of different things, what's the correct common name?

3. How agressive is it?

4. How big do they get, and how big a cage will I need?

5. Finally, do you know any good places online to buy them?

I'm probably not going to buy any venomous snakes any time soon, but I'll probably get an a-prasina someday. All I have is a ball python so I wouldn't feel comfortable with any rear fanged snakes.

Hey,

yes that's a A.prasina

Mine are totally not agressive
they are over 1 meter.
If they want to scare you, than they flat their nek and you can see their black and white skin.

Bye

all prasina's have checkered patterns. Just that on some prasina's they're only visible when their scales are stretched ie when puffing up or when they're eating. On some prasina's the checkered patterns are visible all the time. However this should not be confused with a.mycterizans. I've only seen one mycterizans in real life and they are very similar to prasinas. checkered pattern very evident.
prasina's are called asian green vine snakes...aka oriental whip snakes.
They're strictly arboreal so supply a cage with lots of branches and places to perch. They're not very active snakes and lay still most of the time waiting for food. try to make the cage long enough so it can stretch at least half of its body length.
I have a juvenile that is about 4ft..adults can grow till bout 5ft.
