What type of lizard.......

would be good for a custom tank. The tank isn't tall but its pretty wide. I want something that can be handled, can climb (a little),can live on a substrate of sand, and eats crickets and meal worms. Oh and maybe something with a little color, i've been looking at beardies.

Beardeds do love to climb. They have to be a certain age before they can safely live on sand. They get about 2 feet long, usually.
