Finaly make some adcances in attitude!

BeardedDragon357 Nov 30, 2003 06:42 PM

When i first got my dragon he was a little scared when i handled him but i could still hold him. I left him alone for a bout a week i mean not holding him letting him get aquired to his new home. when i finaly went to hold he was jumping away hissing and displaying his beard. so i would hold him but very little till lately i desided what is the fun of having a dragon that i can't even hold u know
so every day for about 1 1/2 week i hvae been holding him a little and gradually holding him even more. so i took him out saturday and i decided to sit on the couch an watch Austin powers he was watching for a while and it was like 8:30 and he started to get tired so he bundled up under my arm and went to sleep i don't know if he was truly tired so he didn't care were he slept of if he was finaly trusting me. i think he was trusting me and that is alot of improvement from displaying a beard to sleeping on me.

anyway i know it was along story but i jsut had to tell every one

thanx
Tyler

my sydney has been extremely tame since the day i bought her. i don't know what i would have done if she had not been so sweet!

the last 2 afternoons sydney and i have curled up and enjoyed naptime together. we have our own favorite blanket that we curl up with. my family thinks i am crazy!

i am happy you were able to have that time with your dragon. hang in there, i bet in no time yall will be best of friends.

it can be when your dragon doesn't react well to you right away. I bought my beardie at 5 months, and it's been a battle trying to "tame" him. I tried many methods, but finally gave up.

After reading this forum for the past 2 months, I got my hopes up again. After some advice from Christy, I started letting him roam the house (which before I was terrified to do - afraid he'd get into something and hurt himself). He loves it! He's slowly coming around to where he will sit on me with some coaxing and let me lift him out of his cage. Getting him back in is another story, though...!

Anyway, just wanted to say Congratulations!!! It's definitely a great feeling!
