Fecal done...Pogo still has coccidia....

pogo_the_dragon Nov 30, 2003 07:34 PM

the vet said the number of occysts were dramatically reduced although he still has it...The good side however is that Pogo still has managed to grow almost another inch and went from 10 grams at the initial vet appt to 35 grams now and it's been 3 weeks....He is eating about 20-30 crix a day plus usually 2-3 waxworms, and an oral feeding of pureed greens!!!!!!!

Minimal levels are acceptable and many feel that small amounts of coccidia may be the norm in them, its when they get out of hand there is a problem.

I am glad he kept eating and is doing well with that... you and pogo did very well

Often dragons will show slight levels, then two weeks later show none, as their own system is able to deal with them.
