Do GBK's go off feed in cooler weather?

Finnigan Nov 30, 2003 07:46 PM

My GBK hasn't eaten in a little while, since it began to get cold here. Ambient temp is around 68 and hot spot temp is about 85.

What do you think?

if he has not eaten in at least two weeks, turn off heat, lower temps within a couple week period to between 55/60. the end of february gradually warm backup.should do fine, imho/jon

My gbk still eats voraciously, her temps are just a little higher than yours, but sometimes if she is on an empty stomach, i turn off her hot spot because she prefers the cool side anyway....
