Wondering if highly colored babies wash out in color as adults. Thoughts?

Wondering if highly colored babies wash out in color as adults. Thoughts?

It all depends...
Most of my normals have darkened up. I have Patels that also tend to darken as they age, the yellow babies look better as adults when compared to the orange ones. The ghosts are the exact opposite and tend to lighten up as adults. I also have a banded female that has actually grown more colorful as an adult.
So the safest answer I think is.... yes, most of the time.

My s.o.'s BP is 5 years old, and changed colour with his last shed. He's lost a lot of yellow, and the faded patches (blushing?) in the black have gotten much lighter. He's a normal (not pastel, just pet-store bought). Now his patches are a weird sandy/tan instead of the normal yellow and brown.
Just wondering how often this happens
