redgiant Jun 01, 2003 09:48 PM

Im looking for a big lizard that will be a good companion, not like a dog but as close top that as i can get. I currently own a red tegu, so i kinda have an idea of wut im doing. Any advice would be great.

You'll just have to get a monitor and accept it for what it is.

the "big" lizard thing can be overrated, especially for new monitor keepers. i think the best choice overall would be an Ackie.

if you really want a large monitor, the Ionides are really unbeatable, and have a ton of great points.

you can see info for both on our site, check out the FAQ and the caresheets : )

what about waters?

Waters are a fine choice, a very cool lizard. but overall, there is no better choice than Ionides or Ackies : )
