I have heard that kings develop a bit of a painfull demenor as they age, is this true???

I wonder where you heard that they get more hostile as they grow older. I've never heard that before... No, with handling and time kingsnakes grow up to be great snakes.

Thanks everybody. I was told by a couple of people that they were mean but all of the ones that I have seen seemed pretty mellow, just wanted to get another opinion.
