I'm currently keeping a tiny boa in a 40g breeder... ventilated top. Of course, I'm having trouble keeping temps stable. Unfortunately, a new and better home is out of reach because of space and funds. So I've decided to insulate the tank.
I plan to wrap cardboard in foil and cloth and put it all around the sides. I also have the top covered with saran wrap but have plans to cover the top with something that will hold the heat inside better(such as plexiglass) leaving some areas open for ventilation and for lamps. I'm also going to get some bark pieces to attach to the inside walls of the tank for looks, and hopefully additional insulation.

My questions are: Is the cardboard/foil/cloth going to work? and is it going to be enough? Will the bark also help?

Thanks in advance!
