I worked out what Lou lou is !!!!!

funkymonkey Dec 01, 2003 07:05 AM

Well another boring day at the office so as usual have been trawling the web to see what new stuff i can learn about Dave and Lou lou.

Dave is deffinatly a c.collaris and i now know that Lou lou is a c.bicinctores.

Will they be ok together now we know this???? they seem to get on great, The usual clambering all over each other etc and never had a scuffle yet.

I assume if Lou lou is deffinatly a girl if they did breed the eggs would be infertile or would i get some sort of cros breed ???

Apologies for the lack of photo's etc, comp at home is playing up a little so cant scan anything in.

Funky.

Well dance on your desk for entertainment, ahhhahhaah ! LOL
As far as Lou- Lou if she is a girl for sure and your male is a male, then just because she is C. Bicinctore won't matter to your male, C. collaris. Actually you should have a C. bicinctore mate for her, as to keep the species pure.

But I'm sure you will have a cross if left together and they are opposite sex.

Hope your day gets a bit JUMPY-ER Eve

To be honest I just trawled through the pics and pretty much saw a pic that was one of these and was pretty much identicle to her/him or what ever it is.
Over hre in the UK, Collared lizards are pretty much sold as 2 species, 1 being blue collared lizard which I now believe to be the eastern collared lizard, and the desert collared which i believe to be the western collared lizard.

The latin names dont even really get a mention.

Them bright blue collared are stunning though, Dont think they have reached over here yet, Maybe I should try to get some over here ????

So Eve, you reckon even if they are different sorts of collared they could still produce ickle bubba's. ????
Am gonna get another eastern anyway so doesn;t matter too much, but would be nice,
maybe i could produce some amazing coloured never been seen before c.andromados ??? lol,,, i been at work far too long, have a good, one, more posts tomorrow maybe.
