Might want to try the general amphibian or frog forum.

I feel this is an appropriate forum, because people on the other forums don't pay as much attention to thie lighting as you guys (we) do for the darts. I ask questions on here for my P. sauvagei, which are money tree frogs, pertaining to plants and lighting. SOme of the guys here don't hit all the forums, therefore I don't find this question offensive.

What type of bulb? Actinic?
I wouldnt use it. The frogs would be able to see it, and would stress them out. Use the red or blue reptile brand instead.

I kept reef tanks for about 14 years and would not personally use an actinic bulb for night vision. You can buy moon light bulbs for about the same price. If you go to a book store (such as Books-A-Million) and ask for a magazine called Freshwater and Marine Aquariums (F.A.M.A.). Look through the advertisements in the magazine and you will more than likely find some of the bulbs for sale. Hope this helps some.
