Leo Toys?

LeoBeginner Dec 01, 2003 10:00 AM

Hey everyone,

I'm not trying to turn my little leo into a cat or dog (yet), but has anyone found any toys or activities their leos enjoy for exercise?

I'm thinking that a little wind up toy would probably scare it, and a little rolling bell would also probably scare it. Has anyone come across any common (or uncommon) pet toys that their leos enjoyed? They're just so jumpy that most pet toys seem too big and I don't want to terrify the little girl. Has anyone ever had their leo chase after something (other than dinner)?

I know it's a weird question, but I'm just looking for something to stimulte her and give her a workout. I had her out for cleaning last night, and after I put her back in she was climbing against the glass trying to get out. She was out for an hour wandering and climbing on me before she had enough. hehe

Other than climbing things and reptile hammocks, anyone have any experience tiring out an energetic leo? And just so nobody worries: I don't have any plans to put her in a hamster ball or anything like that.

Toilet Paper rolls. Its simple but it works. Lily moves hers around every night (plus anything else she can move, humid hide for example). Abby used to use hers as a washroom, but Dot also likes to play with hers. Lily is the funniest though. She likes to climb on top and let it roll so she's on the other side of it. Maybe its just a lazy way of getting around the tank but its neat to watch.

Most of my geckos will move their humid hides around the tank, i'm not sure why but they get their exersise from doing it. I'm just in the process of re doing all the tanks with more caves, logs plants etc. so they will have alot to explore but i'm going to make sure each of them still has a toilet roll.

A few of mine like a PVC pipe elbow that I have in their tank. Pretty fun to see them play with. The also l ike to hide behind their humid stuck between that and the glass.
