Just curious...

Are there any sort of small tree frogs or toads that can be safely housed with a crested gecko? I know its usually not good mixing species but i have seen many vivariums with different species that do fine, so i was just sprta wondering if you could do that with cresteds. If not, oh well. Thanks!

i don't think you can house cresteds with anything else other than other cresties... except, of course, if they are 2 male cresteds. it would be cool if we could though! i'd want to but so far, through the research i've done, i don't think it'll happen unless they're back in the rainforest

I wouldnt. Cresteds prefer cooler tenps than most treefrogs, and wouldnt hesitate to eat them either.

hehe you're welcome.

if i could mix some lizards and frogs... OH MAN would i have the biggest tank in my house. lol! my uncle and i thought of that recently...

one HUGE ceiling to floor tank (wide) that has the little roaming lizards and frogs (rainforest theme). and one wide tank that's somewhat shorter (so i can reach in..) the wide tank was supposed to hold 3/4 salt water, 1/4 sand --> land has wood & rocks with hermit crabs & water has salt water fish, coral, & other salt water creatures.

it's an idea, but it'll be hard to work out hehe~

I had thought about doing the same, but I decided against it. Pink tongue skinks are a good candidate and also there's some information in the new Rhaco book.
