do tegus ever yawn. it looked like my red yawned when i he was sitting basking. or was he like trying to swallow something?

I think tegus yawn. Bubba came out of her hide log and opened her mouth as wide as she could. After that she set out for food.

As far as I know, all animals yawn. I think in most animals yawining is a part of growth, just a way of stretching particular muscles. It also refreshes the supply of oxygen to the brain. I see The Blue Raja yawn just about everyday.

Yes, my juvie blue yawns about everyday, although I never saw my previous Arg. Red do it.
