New Problem....HELP!!!!

krisbish96 Dec 01, 2003 01:44 PM

Thanks for the advice, I won't combine them. But now I have a new problem, I have the RE in a 10 gallon temporary tank until i can get a new one. I have a nice water bowl, and the same ground material setup, but i will switch to all bed a beast in it's new set up, as well as a few climbing toys and hanging vines with a hood light. Anyway I woke up this morning and he was sitting on the ground with his head lowered, this worried me immedietly. I have noticed that the left half of his lower jaw, the white section, appears to be swollen, I can't take him to a vet till tommorow or wednesday. They are suppossed to call me back, and let me know when they have an opening. I am really worried about this situation and have found no help on any of the websites i've looked at, I've also tried to handle him as little as possible just to put him into the tank when he first got here 2 days ago and this morning to try to get him to move onto the glass and off the ground which he did, but cannot seem to suction properly because of his jaw. Someone please help, I don't want him to die and am lost in the situation. Sorry to bother you again.

Thanks

clean out his tank and set it up with only paper towels on the bottom moistened with treated water, a clean water bowl and something for him to hide and climb on. Mist him throughout the day and keep a close eye on him. Cover all sides of the tank to reduce any stress and place him in a quiet room.

Good part is, you have a vet to take him to. House him like I discribed above and keep him comfortable until you can get him into the vet office.

Best of luck and keep us posted. I hope he's ok!!!
