To me it sounds like a benign thing occuring. But then again I'm not a veterinarian nor can I magically see your snake from where I live.
Forums and the people that inhabit them can only help so much. We're mostly just a tool to gauge whether or not it's something serious enough to seek medical attention, and give useful advice about all things snakey in this case.
But if you're that concerned about your snake, get an appointment for it at reptile veterinarian (if possible) and get it checked out. Yes you'll pay, but at least you'll have the peace of mind to know what is exactly going on with your snake. Just remember that whole "ounce of prevention.." proverb, and you'll do fine.
