I am starting a new tank... and I wanted to try the concrete adheasive and peat mixture but I cant remember what the concrete stuff is called. So if you know please share and if you have and ideas or suggestions I'd love to hear them too!!

I think that the "concrete" you are referring to is a product by DAP called weldbond or weldwood . . . someone else around here will be able to tell you more precisely, but I believe it is actually a plastic polymer product rather than a concrete.

Another option that is relatively easy to pull off with good results is the Great Stuff background with a substrate siliconed in place. Check out Black Jungle for a step-by-step for the process.

I used a mixture of water/Weldbond/peat/coconut fiber/sphagnum over Great Stuff. The Weldbond can be found at Ace Hardware (I had no luck at Lowes and HD). Weldwood is a different product and I am unsure if it can be used. I am EXTREMELY happy with with the results I had. My epiphytes are rooting into the background and it is holding up to constant drip features.
