c. reticulatus (spelling?)

i was just wondering if u can put c. collaris in with a c. reticulatus, i saw one at the petstore and my mom is determined to get it because its really sad, they dont got a heat lamp or a uv lightor anything.. my mom wants to know if u can put them in together but i dont wanna let her because its so small that it will get eaten, shes goin back up to get a pic so ill post it later on tonight

and it's a good thing too, otherwise that pet store would be in a whole heap of trouble! If they are advertising that lizard as such, someone should correct them right away. Crotaphytus reticulatus is a protected species, and is strictly off limits to collection and/or sale... Not sure what kind of lizard is in the pic, but it's probably not a close relative of our North American genus of collared lizards (Crotaphytus)...

ya they were jsut advertising it is a collared lizard, i just looked through some pics on will wills site to see if it was a collared lizard and his markings on his back looked a lot like one of the reticulatus'. but it was really hard to tell because he was covered in dirt and was very very unfed, if u rolled him over onto his back he wouldnt even do anything just lie there...

They are being sold alot now in pet stores.

Very darkish dull kind of color. Same size as our collareds but chunkier. To me, they seem to have a body more like a swift. I just saw one at my locale pet store. Eve
