Weight problems

I purchased my new water dragon from my friend because the reptile needed a better home. I love the lizard, hes really tame and loves food. He has a good reason for it too, when I bought him he was rather underweight. I have had him for a month and he has put on great weight ever since. He is still missing alot of weight around his hips and the base of his tail. Those are just about the only places i can still notice bone. I feed him two dozen crickets every three days with vitamin and calcium every week. Is there anything better that i can do for him to get his weight up. Also he is the nicest dragon ever. He has a nice wide jaw line. Also he has nice pink and blue lips, and the rusty neck and armpits. I need to get a photo of him for you. He is a great lizard and I just dont know how anyone could have ever neglected him.

If he is big enough try giving him pinkies. I have found that pinkies help put weight on a lot faster then mealwroms or crickets.
