>>Why aren't more people interested in Fat-tails ?
If I had the money and space for them Id love some. But alas I think the problem is that they are a bit more expensive. I am not sure about designer prices but whenever I visit pet stores and such they are always priced higher than leopard geckos. And most people who aren't geeks about the hobby like most of us (hehe kidding) buy from petstores. so maybe they just are expensive for people.

i was considering getting a fat tail after my housing extension this summer, but i was told that they are a bit more aggressive and have a higher tendency to bite more than leos. because of that, i decided to just get a crested gecko next summer
i'm thinking of getting one more lizard, but not sure which one yet.

Hi
I have a couple of beautiful African Fat Tails myself and they aren't more aggresive than Leopard Geckos in my experience, they are even more dosile than Leopard Geckos are.
Like with Leopard Geckos, they also need to be held frequently to keep them hand friendly and tame and used to being around you. Sometimes you will go to stores and look at African Fat Tails and have one of the employees maybe tell you that this one real bites or that one really bites, but quite often they are adults etc., and they haven't been held much and therefore are not used to it.
You have to work with them, just like you would have to with the Leopard Geckos in getting them used to being held. You can just as easily get hooked on African Fat Tails as you can Leopard Geckos.
Take Care, TLB
African fat tails are so docile. Ive never been bitten by one. Crested geckos are jumpy, and usually harder to handle. They dont just sit there like most adult fat tails will do. They will try to jump on your shoulders, head, face, ect. haha
