My clutch just hatched and some of the babies were red albinos (like their dad but the others do not look like normal ones, like their mom. The babies are really dark with hardly any red and have a really bright patch of orangish-yeollish-red(weird color) between the saddles. I just wanted to know if it would go away after they shed a few times and they would be normal, or if they would keep the pattern and be like a hypo or something.

Hatchling normals are really dark. Maroon blotches with orange spots in between the blotches. This will even out with time and the snake will become more orange and red. That's why people say to check out pics of the parents because it can be very hard to tell what hatchlings will turn out to be with out them.

Here is a picture of a new hatchling the day it was born, and I will follow this post with a picture of her after her first shed.

You can see she has already lightened up and is getting lighter as she matures and sheds.
