fish diet for monitors

cavyscandy Dec 01, 2003 09:39 PM

I was watching a show the other night, it showed a monitor eating fish and crabs in a flood basin. I heard goldfish were not to be fed to monitors. Does anyone know, what if any fish i could add to my savannah's diet?

The other night, pretty lizard and ravenous appetite. Id add some occaisionally if you want to spend the money, but dont feed goldfish they are almost worthless. If you can find farmed domesticated crabs, and farmed fish such as large minnows, small trout maybe, catfish even (watch the barbs, better remove them), and others. Leave mice and birds and bugs as the main diet though.
