oh my god. i would have a heart attack. PLEASE do not tell me that my boyfriends monitor will actually get that friggin big! He seems to think it's gonna run around the house and sleep in our bed.. he has another thing coming to him lol!!

After all they are on of the large species of monitor. 5-7 ft as an adult is normal. Sobek is 72.5 inches long. Maybe he thought you would believe it will stay small when he got it. My older male that was kept small by a former owner has more than doubled in size in less than a year, I got him at over 2 years old and only 22 inches 2.2 lbs. He is now 46 inches and over 8lbs.
