Does anyone know ANYTHING about keeping and breeding dwarf geckos (the tiny ones from the Caribbean)??

A scientific name would definetly help since there are plenty of geckos in that region. Dwarf refers to a smaller version of a larger animals, not simply a small gecko. From what I know, there are no dwarf geckos, only very tiny ones.

Sphaerodactylus is the Genus.
The common name for them is dwarf geckos. They are the only tiny geckos that occur in the Caribbean.

Hello,

Well, Sphaerodactylus is a fairly large genus as far as the number of species that it includes. If you'd like to know about a specific species that'd be helpful. I have pics of two species on my website. There are two or three species in the florida keys. S. elegans and S. notatus are from the Florida keys and the most common in the pet trade. They should be kept at about 85 degrees F in a small cage, due to their size. The species I am most familiar with is Sphaerodactylus nicholsi. It is either the smallest or second smallest gecko on the planet. as adults they eat eighth inch crickets. The substrate should be a mixture of peat and orchid bark, or somethin similar. They need to be cooled as do most, if not all geckos (I cool everything I breed to some degree, how much depending on where they're from). They'll lay one egg every month or so. Haha, hopefully you're observant and have good fingers, cause they're small and hidden. Babies are freakin small. Like, half an inch total length. If you have any more questions or anything, don't be afraid to email me. My website is www.emeraldexotics.net. My email address and stuff is on there too.
