band count?

smokeysshadow Dec 02, 2003 02:30 AM

When making a band count, do you include the tail?
Also, does anyone notice any consistentcy when breeding animals with a similar count? Thanks-smokey

Band count is typically made from the base of the head to vent, not including tail. I don't know from personal experience, but I believe that low band counts have been proven to be a genetic trait in some instances.
