Brumating Question

Tristan Dec 02, 2003 04:08 AM

My 1.5 year old male dragon has been very inactive since I separated him from my females last week. He doesn't bask anymore, doesn't really move much and he just lazily puts his chin near the glass on my vision cage. He also hasn't touched his greens and has only eaten one cricket and has not used the bathroom. Could he be brumating?
If so, how do I "ease" the process? Should I slowly decrease the hours of heat and light? (if so, please give suggestions) Or should I completely have the lights turned off.
Also, how long does a dragon brumate? Do you usually wake them up? Or do they wake up by themselves?
I've had my dragons for almost two years now and I've never brumated them. This is the first time they are showing signs of it. I'm quite uninformed in this matter.
Any advice would be appreciate,
Thanks,
Tristan
