When do uros tend to calm down? I know its prob different for each individual, but my 9 month old Mali (Oliver) goes nuts every time I try handeling him. I try to hold him every day for at least 15 min., but in 3 months he has made NO progress whatsoever. Any suggestions?

is he a WC or a CB? If he is a WC then there might not be a tamer personality in there. If he is a CB how old is he? To try and tame down my WC saharan Rico i use a leash and take him outsideon hot days. It's also goodin the house because if he does jump down or anything, i can just get him right back. Good luck...I am sure with more and more handling if he is a CB he will eventually calm down. Maybe try twice a day for short periods of time?

You can also find something he extra likes as a treat (flowers, bee pollen, etc) and only give it to him when you handle him. He'll learn to associate you with the goodies and be more willing to calm down. At least that's the theory I'm working under right now - we'll see if it works!!
