Mouth Rot Problem

wyn_ig Jun 02, 2003 12:20 AM

Hi,

I'm from Malaysia and owning 1 green ig which SVL 9.5" TL 35".
I'm facing a problem now because he has mouth rot and Malaysia don't have reptile specialist. But a dog vet is welling to help me as he already given 4 antibiotic pills and Betadine for four days treatment. I need more information how to treat this sickness and what should I do.

Daily I feed him two meals; 10:00am and 6:00pm
Diet; green veg., celery, okra (daily); carrot, green beans, peas, chinese cabbage (once a week); apple, papaya, grape (twice a month)
Commercial ig foods once a month.

Based on above, pls advise am I giving my ig proper diet or I need to further improve. I also need more information on green veg., dandelion, collard green, mustard green, hibicus leaves, etc. In Malaysia we have dandelion, but not same as shown in internet. I dare not give him because I'm not sure will it harm him. I will try to attach photos of veg, flower and hibicus available in Malaysia for reference.

Miserable and worry,
Wyn

She'll be able to help you for sure, she's from that part of the world. I don't know enough about dosages and meds for igs to know if he'd be ok with that, but I think its probably going to be too strong. Hopefully someone who knows more will post, but definately get in touch with Flavia She's a wonderful ig-mother!
